How to install SA-MP Mobile on Android | Official Guide

Before you start

  • Make sure you are on the official SA-MP Mobile domain.
  • Have free space on the device and a stable connection.

Download

  • Download the launcher only from this page or from officially listed mirrors.
  • Check the version and SHA-256 shown on the site.

Android authorization

  • When installing, Android may ask for authorization for the browser or file manager.
  • Authorize only to install this file; do not disable protections permanently.

Installation

  • Open the downloaded file and finish installing the APK.

First launch

  • Open the launcher after installing, holding the phone in landscape.

Downloading the files

  • Follow the launcher instructions to download and verify the game files.

Setting the name

  • Set your player name inside the launcher.

Connecting to the server

  • Connect to Brasil Play Games and join the game.

Troubleshooting

  • Saw a different screen? That is normal: each manufacturer organizes permissions differently.

Graphics compatibility

The client received improvements to run more consistently across different Android GPUs.

Compatibility may vary depending on device, GPU, manufacturer and Android version. 16 KB memory-page packaging is ready, with extended runtime still experimental.

Compatibility with SA-MP servers

Beyond what appears on screen, many SA-MP mechanics depend on communication between client and server. That is why SA-MP Mobile received specific fixes so that certain actions are correctly recognized by server systems.

Vehicles and tuning
Vehicle tuning with improved server integration, so changes made on the client are correctly recognized by systems that rely on that information.
Weapons and explosions
Fixes to explosions, RPG, grenades and certain weapons to improve how actions are registered and how they interact with server systems. Assisted aim is optional, disabled by default, and uses GTA Mobile's own lock-on mechanism.
Objects and custom systems
Fixes to broaden compatibility with features used by servers, including TextDraws, objects, HUD, radar and custom systems. Support for every existing script is not guaranteed.
Mods, AML, Lua and DATA files
Preserves the customization freedom of GTA San Andreas on supported environments: mods, AML (ARM64), controlled support for compatible Lua scripts (ARM64) and modified DATA files.

Broader compatibility also means less need for server-side adaptations made only for mobile players.

Support

  • The download does not start

    The button does not respond or the file does not begin downloading.

    Check your connection and try again. If official mirrors are listed, try one of them. Make sure you are on the official download page.

  • Android blocks the installation

    The system warns that installing from external sources is blocked.

    Apps outside the Play Store may require manual authorization for the browser or file manager used. Authorize only to install this file and check the SHA-256 first.

  • Low storage space

    Installation fails due to lack of space.

    Free up space on the device and try again. Besides the APK, the launcher may need space for additional files.

  • The app closes on opening

    The launcher closes right after opening.

    Restart the device and open it again. If the problem persists, confirm that the device meets the requirements and report it through the official channels with your model and Android version.

  • Additional files do not download

    The launcher does not finish downloading the game files.

    Check the connection and free space on the device, and keep the launcher open during the process. If it fails again, restart the download from the launcher itself.

  • The launcher does not connect

    You cannot join the server.

    Check your internet connection and try again. If the problem persists, confirm that SA-MP Mobile is on the latest version.

  • Incompatible version

    A message says the version is not supported.

    Always download the latest version listed on the site. Older versions may stop being supported over time.

  • Hash different from the one shown

    The file SHA-256 does not match the site.

    Do not install. Download again from the official source. A different hash means a corrupted or unofficial file.

  • Invalid player name

    The launcher rejects the name.

    Adjust the name according to the rules shown inside the app.

  • Where to ask for support

    You need help that is not here.

    Official support channels will be made available on the site. When Discord is set up, the link appears in the footer.

Updates

SA-MP Mobile has an official update system through the launcher. New versions can be distributed through the app's official flow.
